I was born with a physical disability called Cerebral Palsy.  This means that the nerve that tells my legs and different parts of my body to move in a coordinated fashion was damaged when I was born.  However I have not let that stop me from a achieving my goals.  The thing you have to understand about having this kind of disability is it is not that I can’t do something it is I have to look for different ways of achieving my goals and living my dreams.
This means that just to accomplish regular everyday tasks is a challenge.  Like to get up and brush my teeth or to put on my parents is a great struggle however I have learned to overcome these challenges and to not only accomplish them but to rise to meet greater challenges as of today there has not been one thing that I have put my mind to that I’ve failed at.  For instance growing up my parents for as long as I can remember have been farmers.  And it has always been a rite of passage in our family that when you reach an age of about 11 or 12 you get to start operating the machinery.  I was not about to let the fact that I struggled deny me that birthright.  Sure I had to look for different ways of doing things but my point is when I came to a challenge I have always found a way to overcome it no matter what it may be.  For instance due to the nature of my disability I am not able to move my legs fast enough to operate the clutch when needed.  I overcame this challenge by driving a tractor with hand controls sure I had two modify it a little but I was able to achieve my goal.
In my opinion the number one thing you need to achieve your goals no matter who you are no matter your disability.  It is determination the if you have determination the rest of what you need you will achieve by the fact that you are so determined to achieve your goal that you will eventually find a way to do it.  What I’m trying to say is no matter who you are no matter what you are going through your life if you really want something the number one thing you need is determination.  Especially in this day and age where it seems like everything is wrong with the world.  And nobody seems to be on your side and it just doesn’t matter.  Let me tell you right now it always matters.  These are all things that we all struggle with everyday regardless of whether we have a disability or not.  One of my favourite savings(Every member of the human race no matter who they are has a disability) whether we can see it or not we all have problems that we must overcome to achieve our goals.
The thing you have to remember is there are no excuses in life.  There are no excuses to why you cannot achieve the your goals.  When you come across an obstacle that is preventing you from achieving the goals overcome it.  That being said we are not all going to be able to become millionaires but we are all rich in our own way.  However  we will not achieve every goal we set for ourselves.  But like I always like to say the only people who fail in life are those who do not try.  You are better off to try every thing you possibly can to achieve what you want.  Then to not try and all in fear of failing as I said those who don’t try are the ones who fail.  Now I would like to leave you with a few points to think about.
·         Define what you want.
·         Acquire a plan to get their
·         Don’t take no for an answer
·         No excuses
·         And last but not least live your dreams
Thank you and God Bless.
